Let's review the case. Many journalists, who lean to the "left," consider her a martyr. They loved her AND her politics.
But she was on her 4th marriage and had just buried a son due to drugs. Forget about her tearing up the picture of the pope, she lived a hard life long before she even ended up on Saturday Night Live. Just because the cops didn't find any forced entry or her body wasn't surrounded by empty bottles of hard liquor, doesn't mean she died of natural causes.
In Great Britain: “It has been said that death is considered to have arisen from natural causes if the evidence shows that it is probable (that is, more likely than not) that the cause of death was the result of a naturally occurring disease process running its [full] course."
"Similarly, medical experts in the United States explain death from “natural causes” also isn’t clear cut. It simply means there wasn’t any one health condition that caused death, but a combination of factors."
Could she have mixed anti-psychotic drugs and had a heart event? Yes. Natural causes doesn't mean 'old age,' it just means:
She didn't kill herself.
She didn't overdose.
She wasn't killed.
It wasn't accidental. (i.e. Getting hit by a bus.)
No one event pushed her into the beyond.
No 56 year old dies of natural causes. Not in the first world.
For fans who want to romanticize her death, saying that "this world killed her," that's a bunch of crap. I want to see the autopsy report. Some say she died of a "broken heart?" Autopsy report please.
Now I tried to do my own due diligence, but the London Inner South Coroner's Court
doesn't have Sinead O'Connor in their Court Diary for the release of her records. I'm not Conspiracy Theory Guy, but something doesn't smell right.
What's my beef with O'Connor? Nothing with her specifically, she just wasn't the greatest talent of her generation. Those who think she was are actively revising history. To me, Sinead was marginally better the Laura Branigan or Kim Carnes. I see a bunch of sycophants trying to clean up O'Connor's Legacy.
Why am I so jaded? '
Because Sinead's death was very predictable. We called it about a year out: Don't Worry Sinéad, You'll Be Following Soon
Instead of all the kind words after she died, someone should have tried to help her while she was still alive.
