Who wrote that article, I wondered? Before I look, if CNN had journalistic integrity they would pick 10 different perspectives and publish them. Let's see, what's a good cross section of authors?
How about this:
A leader from Black Lives Matter.
A leader from a major Policeman's Union.
A mayor from a major Metropolitan City.
A left wing writer: CNN's Lisa Respers France
A right wing writer: Washington Post's George Will
A left wing personality: Chuck D
A right wing personality: Rush Limbaugh
A left wing scholar: From Harvard
A right wing scholar: From Liberty University
A libertarian perspective: From Reason Magazine
Now, who did CNN pick?
Patrisse Cullors, co-founder of Black Lives Matter
Philip McHarris, a doctoral candidate in sociology and African American Studies at Yale University and lead research and policy associate at the Community Resource Hub for Safety and Accountability
Alex Vitale, a professor of Sociology and Coordinator of the Policing and Social Justice Project at Brooklyn College and author of "The End of Policing"
That is not a good cross-section of voices. Not at all. Maybe I should qualify all my references to CNN as Far-Left Leaning CNN.
Since this is my Blog, I don't have to ask anyone else. Re-state the question:
What Would Daily Life in the US Actually Be Like Without Police, Fred Hunt?
"Fred Hunt, you are exaggerating."
Am I? I don't think so.
