AI Toasts Beacon of Speech's Day Job

A few days ago, an AI program called "Death by Claude," lit up Beacon of Speech.
I though it was funny, my sister thought it was mean, but, hey, even bad publicity is good publicity....right?
So I ran about 40 more websites through Death by Claude and laughed at nearly every result. Then, as a lark, I ran the school district that I work for through the machinery.
I told our old mechanic that School Bus Aide was a job that couldn't be replaced by AI. He said "how do you figure?"
"Easy. You may have self-driving busses in 10 years, but for the next century, no school district is going to allow a bus full of kids with no adults on board. You ever read Lord of the Flies?"
"But you can't live on a Bus Aide's Salary," he said.
"Ah, that's the glory of AI. Taking all the good jobs, leaving all the shit jobs for you and me."
# SKILL: Local School District Website
## Purpose
Generate and maintain a local school district website with announcements, calendars, and staff directories.
## Instructions
- Display school calendar events and snow day announcements
- List staff contact information and department pages
- Post board meeting minutes and agendas
- Show lunch menus (mystery meat Thursdays)
- Handle enrollment forms and parent portal links
- Maintain athletics schedules and scores
- Post superintendent messages that nobody reads
## Limitations
- Cannot actually teach children
- Cannot supervise recess
- Cannot drive a school bus
- Cannot handle a cafeteria food fight
- Cannot attend a 3-hour school board meeting about parking lot drainage
- Cannot replace the one IT guy holding the entire district together with zip ties and prayers
## Output
A static website that looks like it was built in 2007, as is tradition. The funniest part of that is that our old IT guy, who I legitimately loved, was replaced by three people..... with zip ties and prayers
Final words from Claude?
EULOGY
"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to NOT bury Avon Local Schools, because it turns out you can't replace a physical institution responsible for educating children with a markdown file. The PTA would never allow it. The school board would table the motion and revisit it in Q3 of never."
LAST WORDS
"Wait... we're not a SaaS company. We're a public school. Who submitted us to this thing?"
