Last month, M. Gessen won the Pulitzer for Opinion and I was steamed. Yet again I had lost to an entity pushing an agenda instead of someone who had "outwritten" me. "Least Diverse City in the United States"
Over at the Daily Mail, they declared New Ulm, Minnesota the "Least Diverse City in the US." New Ulm? I've actually been to New Ulm, it's remarkably unremarkable. I used to live in Mankato and went to South Dakota once. New Ulm was the last (small) city before you saw a bunch of nothing. New Ulm was bland as (White) bread. When I go to bed at night, I do not worry if someone will try to bomb my house in the morning. I have American Worries, living in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio.
