The Falsehoods of the "Greater Israel Project"

Just last week, I wrote about my favorite (Facebook) Reels. The list leaned heavily into sports and comedy, and, despite Beacon of Speech being a free speech website, we follow no news-related Reels.

Imagine my surprise when a Tucker Carlson Reel came up. Before I could skip it, the Reel began to play. His guest? Professor Jiang and his "Greater Israel Project."

Wow. It is rare that I have seen such a steaming pile of combustible garbage at any time in my life.

If you believe in the Greater Israel Project, please walk yourself to the nearest mental institution, check yourself in, then take the key to your cell and flush it down the toilet.

The G.I.P. is nothing but unadulterated fiction.

I assume you live in America, like I do. Politics in the "Old World" are much more historic and rooted in conflicts that have lasted over a millennium.

But with that being said, has Baghdad ever been under Jewish Control? Never.

Damascus? For 10 minutes in the 10th century B.C.

Cairo? Never

Kuwait City? Never.

Amman? Never.

And none of those cities would accept Jewish Rule today.

For Professor Jiang to claim such a falsehood on Tucker Carlson's Show is incendiary at best, and straddles the very limits of free speech itself at worst.

The Middle East is a Powder Keg, but there is no Jewish Army at the ready to march on their neighbors.

None.

Let me repeat: N-O-N-E.

You want to lecture me on the strengths of the Israeli Army? Listen, they do a great job of assassinating their enemies. They do a great job manning the Iron Dome and then shooting missiles at their neighbors. But they are loathe to send their ground units into mass casualty events. Why? Because their active duty soldiers numbers only around 175,000. If you mix in reservists, that swells to around 500,000 soldiers.

They cannot march on any of their neighbors and occupy other countries that hate them. No neighbor would welcome Israel as liberators. No Muslim neighbor would accept Israel as occupiers.

Let me repeat: N-O-N-E.

Israel is about the size of El Salvador, about the population of Honduras.

If I went on the Tucker Carlson Show and presented a map showing the Mesoamerican Region and claimed that the El Salvadoran government was planning to recreate a New Aztec Nation, I would be ridiculed as a kook. People would blow holes in my theory in about 2 seconds.

But because the internet is loaded with antisemites, they drool on their keyboards and say "the Greater Israel Theory is plausible."

NO. IT IS NOT.

If every Jewish Couple in Israel had 6 kids for the next 200 years, maybe, just maybe, Israel would be able to have a population that could assimilate the West Bank.

But Israel still wouldn't have the strength to conquer their neighbors (assuming that climate change hasn't already wiped out the other desert nations.)

Vladimir Putin treats his troops like fodder to gain inches of land. Netanyahu makes strategic missile launches and ground incursions.

The subtext of the Greater Israel Theory is that it's okay to bomb Israel to prevent them from invading their neighbors.

Seriously, I am so confident that the Greater Israel Theory is absurd, that if, within the next 2 years, the Israeli Army marched and occupied Iraq with ground troops, up to Baghdad, I would shut down Beacon of Speech because I had misread world events so badly.

Would Tucker Carlson bet his website that the Greater Israel Theory WOULD happen in the same time frame?

I bet he wouldn't.
