We are not the cool kids here at Beacon of Speech.

BOS is on Facebook and Bluesky, that is it.

Let me re-iterate, no Snapchat, no Instagram, no TikTok, no X.

But lately, we have been turning to Facebook Reels for more and more entertainment options. Which is kind of funny, seeing that Reels is seemingly mostly re-runs of Instagram or X content.

With that being said, these were my Top 10 content creators this week:

Jim Rome:

Rome has been the best talk-radio sports host in the nation for the last 20 years, bar none. I stopped listening to him years ago, not because he lost a step, but because the idiots at ESPN 850 Cleveland moved his show to KNR2 so they could broadcast Browns Propaganda at the high wattage station. I cannot get the 1,000 watt KNR2 anywhere. Was elated to find Rome clips on Reels.

Marcus Monroe:

He's the Subway Comic. When he's on, he's hysterical. When he's not, the reactions from the subway patrons are hysterical.

Patrick Cutler "Bad Napoleon":

Cutler's humor started as a parody of "Bad" Napoleon Dynamite, but has expanded to commentary on sports and current events.

Ohio Fish Rescue:

There's a local fish shelter that adopts fish, then, if you message them, you can give the fish a good home. It is not open to the general public, it only exists for re-homing. It's a really cool setup, seemingly everything they do is through the internet.

Content Machine:

Comedians doing funny, 1 minute sketches.

Night Flight:

Between 1981 and and 1988, when cable was in its infancy, the USA Network played old public access content, and mixed it with edgy and experimental programming. Believe it or not, Night Flight still exists today, but in 15 minute segments on IFC. Again, Night Flight replays segments from the 80's original on Reels

Premier League:

We love soccer at Beacon of Speech. Our opinion is that the Premier League, top to bottom, is the best soccer league in the world. We could watch highlights of games all day long.

Elsaucepapii:

We have no idea what the hell is going on here, but can't stop watching.

Worchester Terrariums:

To me, the Worchester Terrarium Guy is the coolest guy on the internet. Seriously.

Anthrax:

Anthrax is out touring the world and it warms my heart to see my favorite metal band globetrotting.

A few months back, I started following Scumbag Dad. Then I noticed he changed the name of his channel to BradP.

I asked AI what happened, and it responded that the content creator was have trouble monetizing Scumbag Dad, so he changed the station to his real name.

Lame. The moment has passed him by.
