An Anonymous Author sent me a unique article and I published it. In case I get sued, I know who they are, (they helped us on our low-budget movie), but you don't know who they are.
The point is, the name of the article was Smoke and Mirrors and I tried AI, at least, 20 times, but couldn't get the image I was looking for, which was: 1 in a 1,000 representation.
But to my surprise, this amazing image came up. I love it, it just doesn't say 1 in a 1,000. I couldn't not to use the image somewhere.
It's like Sci-Fi art.
Then I tried: Jackson Pollack Drip Style, and again, nothing I generated looked like a Pollack painting.
But this marvelous image came up.
Tried again:
Angst, abstract
Awesome.
But I didn't really create it. In my mind, something angrier and fuzzier would have been generated.
I tried: Curse, Deviant.
Again, not what I had in mind, but cool nonetheless.
Now here's the REAL problem with AI. You remember the early days on the internet? Very few ads, lots of beautiful images, all kinds of information at your fingertips.
The internet now seems to be ads, ads, ads, with certain leanings on what is, and what is not, news. And somehow, less photos than a decade ago. A lot of images have disappeared behind copyrighted walls. There seems to be gatekeepers everywhere.
You say that's capitalism, that how things should be? Well, if no one owns AI, and you can't copyright AI, you would think that free, uncopyrighted, images would clog the internet. That's not the case.....
While I was working on this article, I tried to promote a different Beacon of Speech missive. I went over to Facebook and saw a pertinent post from cleveland.com that I wanted to comment on. I attempted to post my article Cleveland.com's Magic Trick as a rebuttal and within 5 seconds I got this message:
YOU CAN'T SHARE THIS LINK: Your Content Couldn't Be Shared Because Your Link Goes Against Our Community Standards.
How can my 2-minute article be banned almost instantaneously without review?
Beacon of Speech is specifically banned from the cleveland.com Facebook page. Doubtful, we are small fish in a big pond.
All links are banned for the particular story in question. Possible, but also doubtful.
Facebook thinks I am AI. I used an AI generated photo (below). Probable.
But last time I checked, I was real. I dabble in AI images, but the writing is all me, flaws and all. How do I prove that I'm myself?
You know what? My kid's Halloween Party is about to start, I am going to end this article here.
I entered Scariest Halloween Image EVER
