Michael Stanley: Between August 25, 1982 and August 31, 1982, the Michael Stanley Band sold out Blossom Music Center 4 times in a row. That's a record that will probably never be broken. No local band could replicate that feat, no national band would stay in Cleveland for a 4 night residency in a single week. The MSB never quite broke into the mainstream, as their lead singer worked at WNCX until his death. There was no musician in history that was as Cleveland through-and-through as Michael Stanley.
John D. Rockefeller: America's First Billionaire, Rockefeller abandoned Cleveland for New York in his 50's and built a lasting legacy on the East Coast. Rockefeller's legacy in Cleveland mostly disintegrated past World War II, but you can still visit his grave in the rough part of Cleveland.
At the same cemetery as John D. Rockefeller resides many local celebrities: Alan Freed, Harvey Pekar, Eliot Ness, and former President James A. Garfield, just to name a few.
But for the last face on Mt. Clevemore, you're probably yelling at the computer: LEBRON JAMES!!!
WRONG.
LeBron James is from Akron and couldn't hate Cleveland more. I was tempted to say Jim Brown, but he was a bit too controversial. Paul Brown? I think he's more identified with Cincinnati now.
Back in 2017, cleveland.com reporter Troy Smith came up with this list:

I like Paul Newman, just not enough to put him in the Final 4.
So with the final spot, we're going with....
Jesse Owens: 4 Gold Medals in the 1936 Olympics and symbolically stood up to Adolf Hitler. Jesse Owens' real full name was James Cleveland Owens, how can you not recognize that? Though Owens struggled later in life, he was still a champion.
