Tubi: Making Me Hate The Cleveland Browns Even More

I love Tubi.
I hate that the NFL's Cleveland Browns are run by gas station attendants and mental deficients.
I had no intent on writing about the Browns tonight, not at all.
I went over to Tubi to watch the movie Event Horizon.
But on Tubi's front page, they were promoting the 2015 NFL Draft.
Read that again. Not the 2026 Draft, they were rerunning the 2015 Draft---and people were watching it. So the NFL makes money by playing no games, but generates revenue by broadcasting the Draft, on the hopes that your team is better in next year's games? Man, the NFL is a racket. Having an NFL franchise is literally a license to print money.
And when Tubi broadcasts re-runs of the Draft, I assume their business model dictates that they make money by broadcasting commercials over a taped Draft, right?
How stupid am I for watching this crap?
But I digress.
Instead of dwelling on my self-loathing, I was re-analysing the Cleveland Browns' picks.
Again, I was looking for sci-fi horror, not sports ineptitude.
Pick 12: Danny Shelton - Washington
WHO? Seriously, I watch the Draft live, nearly every year, and I didn't remember Shelton at all. Apparently the Browns picked him at 12, he played 3 years, and then was traded to New England for a 5th round draft pick. Shelton went on to win the Super Bowl with the Patriots that year. Shelton retired in 2023.
Pick 19: Cameron Erving - Florida State
WHO? Wait a minute....
I do remember Cam Erving, he was a big bust. He had an all right rookie year at tackle and guard, but his natural position was tackle. Then, in his second year, the Browns inexplicably tried to make him a Center. In theory, that error is more on the Browns than Erving. After 2 years, the Browns traded him to the Kansas City Chiefs. also for a 5th round draft pick. He, too, would win a Super Bowl. Erving isn't retired, but is listed as a free agent.
That's it.
I'm going to bed!
