How South Park was Right About Trump

The South Park guys really nailed Trump in the Season 27 Premier. How so?
Last year we wrote that Donald Trump is Donald Trump. It is really that simple. Trump is, more or less, the same guy as he was in his 30's. What he has now is a decade of anger from being attacked politically, justifiably and not justifiably, in his back pocket.
Many called Trump Hitler. Trump isn't even close to Hitler. Hitler had insatiable blood lust and caused tens of millions of deaths.
Many called Trump Senile. Trump may have some cognitive decline, but not the significant decline of Biden.
Many called Trump the Anti-Christ. Unless he has some new tricks up his sleeve, that is patently absurd.
So is Donald Trump a good president?
Uh, no.
Many on the left claim that everything Trump does is evil. Listen, he's right about the third of the time. If you have money in the stock market, Donald Trump is doing a nice job for you. If you're struggling to make ends meets, well, Trump's not your guy. If you are looking for consistency in what Donald Trump believes in, or actually says from day to day. He's definitely not your guy.
South Park comparing Donald Trump to a buffoonish version of Saddam Hussein? That's probably the closest analogy that's going to be in the same ballpark as to what is going on in America.
Hussein only cared about himself and not his country. Same with Trump.
Hussein had idiot, spoiled sons. Same with Trump.
Hussein invaded tiny Kuwait. Trump longs to purchase tiny (population-wise) Greenland.
Hussein attacked his detractors in Iraq. Trump metaphorically attacks his detractors in America.
Now it's not a perfect analogy, but if you ask many Iraqi's today, they long for the stability of Saddam's Iraq. There were winners and losers in 2000's Iraq, just like there were winners and losers in Trump's America. Neither man cared about the future of their country, per se, just how they could use the country to enrich themselves.
But I'm going to pound my fists on the table until they are raw and bloodied. Every time Donald Trump did something stupid, Democrats lurched their party further and further to the left. Their crusades for the extremes of the LGBT Movement and the Defund the Police Movement, almost single-handedly kept Trump's Head afloat, poll-wise, for the past decade. If Democrats tried to govern from the Middle, they would have steamrolled Trump in 2016. If Democrats didn't nominate a stage prop in 2020, they would have steamrolled Trump in 2020.If Democrats tried to govern from the Middle, they would have steamrolled Trump in 2024.
For a decade, Democrats have whined, lied, and cried about Donald Trump.
The way to attack him is through slicing parody or stinging commentary based on exaggerated caricatures of the truth.
And that's how South Park succeeded where so many other detractors have failed.
