Russia Back in the Olympics? Blame the United States

This is going to be one of the shortest Beacon of Speech articles ever.
When Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine in 2022, the world was aghast. One sovereign nation invading another sovereign nation was not only against the United Nations Charter, it was a clear violations of the Budapest Memorandum.
From Harvard: "On December 5, 1994, leaders of the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Russian Federation met in Budapest, Hungary, to pledge security assurances to Ukraine in connection with its accession to the Treaty on the Nonproliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) as a non-nuclear-weapons state. The signature of the so-called Budapest Memorandum concluded arduous negotiations that resulted in Ukraine’s agreement to relinquish the world’s third-largest nuclear arsenal, which the country inherited from the collapsed Soviet Union, and transfer all nuclear warheads to Russia for dismantlement. The signatories of the memorandum pledged to respect Ukraine’s territorial integrity and inviolability of its borders, and to refrain from the use or threat of military force."
What was Putin's REAL rationale? He wanted to start putting back together the Soviet Union.
What was Putin's STATED rationale? He was afraid of Ukrainian Nazis (which was absurd), and he claimed Ukraine was as much part of Russia as Texas was to the United States (which was even more absurd).
But since 2024, Putin's Special Military Action has almost ground to a halt, the battle lines are mostly stagnant and the international community has tired of holding Putin's feet to the fire.
When Donald Trump implemented regime change in Venezuela earlier this year, many rejoiced, Venezuela was a mess, but he still violated the UN Charter. When Trump killed Ayatollah What's-His-Butt in Iran, again, even some people in Iran were happy, but TRUMP STILL VIOLATED THE UN CHARTER.
As Iran and United States continue to lob missiles at each other, today, most world citizens ignored the low buzz from the far-left that would have taken the World Cup away from the United States before it started. Soccer was more important to the collective world than the Strait of Hormuz.
But as the tournament continues to grind on, and Donald Trump keeps bombing targets in and around Iran, I think that the low buzz for sanctions against the United States is growing in world communities.
And I'm telling you right now, as soon peace with Iran is settled, a real cease fire with the United States pulling out of the region....
The United States is invading Cuba.
I think dealing with the International Olympic Committee is like dealing with the devil. World leaders are going to start leaning into sports entities to do to the United States what many did when they banned Russian Athletes from events.
But the IOC, for example, really can't afford to ban 2 of its 3 largest members, (yes I know India is technically larger, but not its sports footprint). So instead of placing future sanctions on America, the IOC is simply lifting sanctions on Russia.
Their message is clear: Bomb whoever the f--- you want.
Thanks Trump.
