What the Hell is Wrong with Robin Svoboda?

Arguably the Best Broadcast Team in Cleveland History

Other than Dorothy Fuldheim, there may not have been a more popular, or respected, female broadcaster in Cleveland Television History than Robin Svoboda.

But since her heyday in the 1980's on Channel 8, Svoboda has been on every news channel in Northeast Ohio.

Now everyone has their own angles and reasons for their own career path, but Svoboda seemed to have tired of the limiting news format itself, which is fine.

But over the past year, every time I turn on antenna TV on the weekends, Robin Svoboda is on the infomercial Retirement Solutions with Bill Smith. Like, every single weekend on, seemingly, every channel.

And for some irrational reason, I am mad. You don't want to do the news, but this tripe is okay?

For the last 6 months, I have sworn to myself that I would get to the bottom of the story, then after the Chargers/Patriots Playoff game, I saw a commercial for WASmithFinancial and said "screw it."

I really don't care enough to put the work in. I'm just going to change that channel and stew. Before that though, I just have to note, Svoboda still has that same twinkle in her eye and the same spark in her personality that made her a beloved local personality.

I'm mean and she's had health issues?
