CNN asked: What Do We Lose When The Colbert Show Ends?



Beacon of Speech answers: NOTHING.


How can we be so callous? Because we are so sick and tired of all the hand-wringing over the end of the Colbert Show.

We are going to give Jimmy Fallon the benefit of the doubt, he mostly disseminates the adult version of frat-boy humor. But, the other 4 are corporate, Liberal Comedians. All the same race, all the same comic philosophy, all in the same generation.


If you miss Colbert, turn on one of the other 4 shows, they're all pretty similar. (Or turn on Jon Stewart, not shown.)


When I was a kid, I thought Byron Allen was kind of funny, but that was 40 years ago. When CBS bought the rights to Allen's Comics Unleashed, I actually thought it was a good move, it, at the very minimum, gave the appearance of having different voices in late night.



My least favorite comics have had a moment or two where I may chuckle at their work. Even Pauly Shore made me laugh a little in the movie Encino Man.
