Yevgeny Prigozhin is Rolling Over in His Grave

You remember Yevgeny Prigozhin, he was the leader of the Vladimir Putin sponsored Wagner Group.
Still not ringing any bells? He was the one who led the rebellion against Putin, then died in a "mysterious plane crash."
Editor's Note: Mysterious plane crash is not in quotations because I quoted anyone. It's because all the leaders of the Wagner Group died when their plane blew up. Putin claimed that the plane exploded because the members of the Wagner Group were on drugs and/or drunk, and accidentally detonated hand grenades. The Wall Street Journal was confident that Putin aide Nikolai Patrushev ordered a bomb to be placed inside and/or on the wing of the plane. There is no active investigation as to the "real" cause of the plane crash.
In the year 2022, there was no more feared human being on Earth than Yevgeny Prigozhin. During Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Vladimir Putin expected a quick capitulation from his enemies, but what he got was resistance on all fronts. By the end of 2022, the only section of the Russian Army making any meaningful gains in Ukraine was the Wagner Group.
Then, at the end of 2022, a video of Prigozhin executing a Russian Deserter by sledgehammer went viral. All of a sudden, Putin wasn't the face of the Russian Invasion, he was hidden away in his private fortress, but Prigozhin's Ruthlessness was the face of the Invaders.
Instead of recoiling from the notoriety, Prigozhin used his newfound swagger to call out Putin for a flawed Russian War Strategy. Prigozhin demanded that Putin use the full force of the Russian Army to defeat the Ukrainians, while Putin preferred his slow-burn, inch by inch, meatgrinder strategy, which continues to be maddening to Russian War Experts.
All Prigozhin ever wanted was glory for Russia and a crushing defeat for Ukraine.
But the Wagner Group wasn't just in Ukraine. The Wagner Group was feared in Syria and North Africa, also. When the leaders of the Wagner Group were murdered, it left a huge gap in Putin's War Strategy across the globe.
Today, Russia continues to make painstakingly slow gains in Donbass, but the rest of the Ukrainian fronts have mostly stagnated.
What does that have to do with Donald Trump?
Last month, when Donald Trump's paratroopers swooped down out of the night and arrested the leader of Venezuela, Putin made a few comments, but ultimately he did nothing.
When Trump threatened Columbia, Putin said he was busy.
When Trump threatened Cuba, Putin was invisible.
As Trump continues to threaten Iran, Putin refuses to draw a red line. Israel could begin bombing Iran as soon as tonight.
Right now, the only thing Putin cares about is massive drone and missile attacks across Ukraine. Putin is convinced that he has that country on the ropes.
But there is no ground army occupying new territory.
The Russian Army is retreating on all global fronts as Putin is failing to take many of his allies' desperate calls for help.
And, don't get us wrong, Russia is winning in Ukraine, the Ukrainians still have no path to victory, but Yevgeny Prigozhin would be aghast that Russia is pulling away from American, African, and Middle Eastern Theatres.
Earlier this week, CNN reported that instead of fighting in Africa, the Russians were tricking African Soldiers into fighting in Ukraine. At the end of last year, there were similar stories of the Russians doing the same things to North Korean and Kazakh troops.
For over 60 years, Cuba has had Russia's full attention, yet AlJazeera reported this week that Cuba has been pushed to the brink by America's Blockade of the Caribbean Nation.
Did you even know we had a blockade of Cuba?
You hear that sound? That's Prigozhin moaning in indignation from his grave.
