Four Mushroomheads ??!??
Back in February of this year, we wrote that the band Mushroomhead had effectively split into three bands: Three Mushroomheads ??!??. Pretty strange for a band with only one Top 40 Single (2006"s Simple Survival) and two Top 40 Albums.
Fast forward 6 months, and I could now argue that there are 4 Mushroomheads!
Man, I never thought we'd be returning to the Mushroomhead article. For those too lazy to click on the original link, our comments from the first article are in quotations:

Mushroomhead III - Jeffrey Nothing - Jeffrey Nothing, former co-lead singer of Mushroomhead, is hell bent on making his solo project work.

Will they play Mushroomhead classics? What else are they going to fill their set with?

If you've ever had depression, and I mean soul-crushing depression, there is no song that better captures that feeling than Mushroomhead's Sun Doesn't Rise. If you wanted to hear the layered despair of that song, I would lean toward Jeffrey Nothing's Mushroomhead incarnation to hear it.
If you wanted to catch lightning in a bottle, the band that most closely resembles Mushroomhead a generation out is the Ex-Faces. They seem to be on point.
Back in the day Mushroomhead and Slipknot had a bit of a rivalry, but today Slipknot is a metal machine, there aren't 4 bands playing the music of Slipknot with original members in different directions.
Strangely, most ex-members of Slipknot are dead or disappeared. I mean, Craig Jones left the band, then disappeared into the ether, like he never existed at all. Poor Joey Jordison was dead within a decade of being fired from Slipknot. He never tried to re-start a competing Slipknot,. Jordison attempted to go in an even more extreme direction.
