The above movies were the 20 Most Popular Films of 1995.

Even though I love the free-streamer Tubi, they stream a mountain of junk. They have nearly every straight to video release from 1995, but do they have anything popular? And it's not just Tubi, Pluto and Roku have similar free-streaming models, as long as you don't mind watching commercials.

I don't want you to think that I'm picking on Tubi, because I love the obscure gems that I find there, it's about Hollywood Studios keeping popular movies behind a pay wall. Sometimes you don't want something new, you just want to watch something popular from when you were younger, like visual comfort food. But you don't want to pay for something 30 years old, you'll sit through those commercials.

You know, like a generation ago, when you would watch popular movies a few years later on Network TV. When is the last time you watched a movie on Network TV once streaming came along? Paid Streaming Subscription in Black. Free options in Red.

Doesn't it seem absurd to pay $3.99 to watch Waterworld...in 2025?
