Apparently some science hack came up with the Top 10 Happiest Songs According to Science:

1. “Don’t Stop Me Now” // Queen

2. “Dancing Queen” // ABBA

3. “Good Vibrations” // The Beach Boys

4. “Uptown Girl” // Billy Joel

5. “Eye of the Tiger” // Survivor

6. “I’m a Believer” // The Monkees

7. “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” // Cyndi Lauper

8. “Livin’ on a Prayer” // Bon Jovi

9. “I Will Survive” // Gloria Gaynor

10. “Walking on Sunshine” // Katrina and the Waves

One of worst Top 10 lists I have ever read. (Remember we used to freelance at Top Tenz.)

The list was so bad, it made me want to do drugs and discuss science with Kyrie Irving.

Here's me, having to correct science. The 10 Happiest Songs according to my fading hearing:

1. Tik Tok by Ke$ha (2009)

2. Mony Mony by Billy Idol (1981)

3. In the Meantime by Spacehog (1995)

4. I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness (2003)

5. Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO (2011)

6. Love Shack by the B-52's (1989)

7. The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars (2009)

8. All Star by Smash Mouth (2001)

9. Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham! (1984)

10. (Okay, Katrina and the Waves was fine at #10)


We do not like smiling at Beacon of Speech. We prefer 20 minute post-metal songs about despair.
