No matter who you are, you have your own favorite actors and actresses.

If I had to make a list of my Top 20 Favorite Actors, Matthew Lillard would probably be on it.

But what I don't understand is why, if Quentin Tarantino doesn't like him, all of a sudden, it's news. Matthew Lillard seems like a talented guy. He was really good in one of the best indie films of all time, SLC PUNK. That film played at 1998's Sundance Film Festival.

When Quentin Tarantino was young, he used to talk about hip, obscure movies. Now that he's old, his favorite movies are big Hollywood productions and popular films.

  1. Black Hawk Down (2001)

  2. Toy Story 3 (2010)

  3. Lost in Translation (2003)

  4. Dunkirk (2017)

  5. There Will Be Blood (2007)

  6. Zodiac (2007)

  7. Unstoppable (2010)

  8. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

  9. Shaun of the Dead (2004)

  10. Midnight in Paris (2011)

  11. Battle Royle (2000)

  12. Big Bad Wolves (2013)

  13. Jackass: The Movie (2002)

  14. The School of Rock (2003)

  15. The Passion of the Christ (2004)

  16. The Devil's Rejects (2005)

  17. Chocolate (2008)

  18. Moneyball (2011)

  19. Cabin Fever (2002)

  20. West Side Story (2021)

I was very familiar with 19 of the 20 movies on the list. Tarantino ain't promoting the little guy anymore, he touts himself. Tarantino seems like a talented douche who likes to look at himself in the mirror too much.

2 years ago, I was so annoyed with Tarantino I wrote this article: Cruise > Tarantino. Money quote there? "What are we doing here then? Tarantino has released 10 movies in 30 years. That's hardly prolific. For someone who was supposedly churning out screenplays at a young age, it's almost inconceivable."

If Tarantino's life now is just sitting in his living room in a bathrobe, doing drugs and writing unfinished screenplays, I mean, that's just really sad. Then showing up on local podcasts, half conscious and waving his hands around, dogging working actors?

That just seems mean.

Fine line between a monkey and a robot?

In Tarantino's Case, a fine line between a genius and an asshole.

If I whined about my least favorite actors, it doesn't make the news cycle.
