Everyone is confused as to what free speech is in the year 2025.

This is buried deep in the Beacon of Speech archives as a reference point.

The Right is actively attacking the speech of the Left. I have read some variation of "The War on Woke" at, at least, a dozen publications.

And for the past decade, the Left has branded every single thing they don't like on the Right as hate speech. Of course hate speech should be banned they argued, everyone agrees what hate speech is. But they don't. A sports mascot is hate speech? The Left cast a very wide net of what they considered hate and didn't promote the concept of free speech itself.

At our heart we are a free speech website. So with that being said, we tip our hands, yet again, and disclose our Pulitzer Entry for the upcoming year: Speech vs. Information

September 23, 2025 - The New American Crusades

Now this will be the 6th time entering in our 8 year existence.

Every year, the winners fall into 3 categories:

  • War

  • Trump is Bad

  • Overarching Left Wing Talking Points

We are not partisan hacks, so we enter under the guise of being an independent voice when independent voices are not welcome. Then, in May of 2026, we will again lament that the winners are all from the categories above, from mostly the same publications.

We don't play the game very well at all....

Alright, we need an image for the cover.

We love the AI Image Generator, it doesn't always love us.

We used the term: Loser, in the Dark
