Tate Reeves: American Taliban

What the hell is wrong with this country?

Last week we had an inappropriately glib take on the abortion argument "Top 10 Songs about Abortion." Seriously though, this is our stance on abortion as a libertarian leaning website: There should not be Abortion on Demand, but for the most part, abortion should be legal. If you want to get up in my face and start screaming at me that I'm not a principled libertarian and that abortion is a State's Rights Issue, that's as far as I am willing to concede in the argument.

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves says there should be no abortions, no exceptions AND he would ban contraception.

Tate Reeves might as well be in the American Taliban. His take on women's reproductive rights is absurd and just short of women having to wear burqas and taking away a woman's right to vote. Tate Reeves should be scorned as a far-right kook just like Ilhan Omar is an acknowledged far-left nutjob.

What is so hard about governing from the middle? There are over 300 million people in America and everyone is different. Statistically, half of America are women and you have to give different people different choices. I am not you, you are not me. I am not she, she is not thee.

For the upteenth time, if you don't want an abortion, DON'T GET AN ABORTION. There is a middle ground that no one wants to reach for. People forget that a pregnancy is not a perfect road, 1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage.

I don't have any clever insights to the abortion argument that haven't been made elsewhere, I just want to point out that when people want to legislate about what goes on in the bedroom, they aren't doing so in your best interest, they are being judgy voyeurs.
