How You Know the Devil is Winning

Do you know what is good and what is bad?
I mean that sincerely. Do you know where society's Moral Compass lies?
Charles Kirk wasn't really on our radar at Beacon of Speech, we mentioned him exactly ZERO times in our 1,519 articles.
Yet after his assassination, I can tell you what Kirk's Moral Core was in one word, after reviewing a few dozen of his videos: Christianity.
Now you don't like his brand of Christianity? I will listen to that argument, but I'm going to tell you something right now, America was founded on vague Christian Principles. You're Muslim? "When Muhammed and the Islamic scholars carved out their pieces of the Abrahamic religions, they argued that Islam was not a repudiation of Christianity or Judaism, but a reformation of those faiths."
Most free societies are founded on either the 10 Commandments or a variation of similar Commandments.
For the 100th time, we are not Conservatives here at Beacon of Speech. We are Libertarians.
You wanna smoke that dope? Have fun.
You wanna drink 'til you pass out? Sounds like a party.
You wanna have that abortion? Have at it.
Your life ain't my life.
When it comes to The State, nearly everything should be legal.
You have to run your society for the religious and the non-religious alike.
But this is the dangerous mindset that's taken effect in the past generation or so on the Global Left. Christianity has been clearly delineated for the past 2,000 years, but all of a sudden the Leftists are trying to say sins are good. God created you in his/her likeness, so your sinning is like God sinning, which is fine.
The LGBTQ+ movement? It's almost all a sin. The Bible clearly delineates that any sex, not between married couples, that's not for the expressed purpose of procreation, is a sin. Our article Pope Francis' Fundamental Misinterpretation of Sex and Religion spelled out that 99% of sex is a sin, whether straight, gay, or any shade of the rainbow. Jesus wants you to have that threesome you always dreamed about? Uh, no. Leftists have shifted sex to the core of someone's being instead of being a complimentary trait.
Jesus taught the masses to love the sinner, but hate the sin. Not love the sinner AND the sin.
Christianity is boring. Pray. Go to work. Raise a family. Pray some more. Read your Bible or play mentally stimulating games, like chess. Wait quietly to die, preferably praying the whole time.
Sex is very bad.
Gambling is a sin.
Pornography? Everyone knows it's bad, nearly everyone watches it.
When you're an adult, nearly everything "fun" is a sin.
You say I'm a Bible-Thumper? Far from it. I'll see you all in hell.
I am not God, I judge you not.
There is a clear path to heaven (if it exists). Very few choose to walk that path.
The Modern Left wants you to think you can sin your way to heaven.
That's not how it works.
One of my biggest pet peeves is when people say Ozzy Osbourne went to heaven. His wife hosed off a drug-addled, Satan-worshipper and sold his image for public consumption.
Dude was the self-proclaimed The Prince of Darkness.
Ozzy sold the Devil to kids in song.
I mean, there's an upside down cross right there.
Our website's official position is that we're pissed that God doesn't speak to man in his/her own tongue, while the Devil has a superior soundtrack.
That arrogance is also a sin. You simply sin by stepping to the foot of God, which is what this blog occasionally does.
At my day job in the local school district, we were debating a simple section of a new state law that states: Districts need to "de-emphasize consequences."
Everyone from the top, to the bottom, in our section of the educational food chain are up-in-arms. As adults we were taught as children "actions have consequences."
I spoke with a retired Hispanic Cop that shook his head, "you know, society really isn't that complicated. 90% of crime is committed by people whose Father is out of the picture."
It's not a White Thing, Black Thing, or Hispanic Thing, it's a disintegration of the Family Unit problem. There's more Black crime because there's less Black Dads. The equation is that simple, it doesn't have anything to do with race. When Black Lives Matter screams to defund the police, they are essentially crying out "you're not my Dad."
In America, many of the Left are now equating Christianity with White Privilege, which is absurdly backwards logic.
The State can neither be Dad nor God, it needs to run on some variation of The Golden Rule.
Do I agree with the former officer? He has big muscles covered in sleave tattoos with Christian imagery. Even if I disagreed with him, I'd be afraid to admit it.
Before I get off my soapbox, do you know what a saint is?
Here is the AI Overview:
"In the Catholic Church, a saint is a person in Heaven, whether officially recognized or not, who lived a heroically virtuous life and is now united with God. While all Christians are called to become saints, the Church formally canonizes (declares) some individuals as saints, meaning they have been recognized for their holiness and are offered for public veneration."
There are about 10,000 saints in the history of the world. In the same timespan, about 100 billion humans have ever existed. About 5% of humans that have ever existed, exist right now.
By using simple math, if you are a Catholic, you have a better chance of winning the Powerball than becoming a saint. The Lord is not casting a wide net.
