So today, Elon Musk launched the American Party. Want some details? You don't get any.

Public figures attached to the American Party? Uh, none.

Is the American Party registered with U.S. Election officials? No.

From Elon Musk himself: "When it comes to bankrupting our country with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy." Elon's quote mirrored Libertarianism.

Chase Oliver said the same thing in 2024.

Jo Jorgensen said the same thing in 2020.

Gary Johnson said the same thing in 2016.

Is Musk's new American Party trying to merge with the Libertarians? We'll come back to that-

Why do I say new? For a guy who has to have, at the very least, a cursory knowledge of copyright law, Elon Musk should have known there's already an American Party. What does the old American Party believe in? Mostly Conservative and Religious values, How do I know? I went to their website.

Does Elon Musk's new American Party have a website? Not yet.

Even the smallest Mom and Pop companies in America have a website. Beacon of Speech is two people, on good days, and even we have a website. Here's our about page.

So Elon Musk screams into the air that he's starting a new political party and it's front page news? That's why people hate billionaires, they open their pieholes and whatever they say makes news. But before I go on my billionaire rant, I have to admit, in principle, there SHOULD be a strong third-party in America. His fundamental concept is correct.

Fred Hunt screams into the air, though, that he's starting a new political party, the Really, Really, Super-Duper American Party, and his family questions his sanity, his co-workers laugh behind his back, and his few readers ask: 'Okay idiot, how do you propose winning any elections?'

"Oh, I have no plan, I just think there should be a third party based on small-government and my free speech tenets."

If I had a billion dollars in my bank account, I wouldn't just yell out random thoughts without having some sort of outline or some sort of team to roll out my vision. At minimum, I would at least buy a domain name. At this stage of the game, Elon Musk has put absolutely no work into making his concept a reality. I'm confident Musk, at this juncture, is simply throwing a tantrum: Elon Musk Lost to Trump. He Can’t Get Over It.

Right now, in the eyes of state election boards, Elon Musk's new party isn't even as legitimate as Pat Paulsen's comedic runs a generation ago. Despite not filing in the '68 Election, Paulsen eventually filed as a proper presidential candidate in New Hampshire in 1996.

Just before I hit the publish button, I was double checking my sourcing and this magical article came up: Libertarians seek partnership with Elon Musk.

From Politico, just 2 days ago: "Libertarian National Committee Chair Steven Nekhaila has a pitch for billionaire Elon Musk: Join us, and don’t fight the uphill battle of launching a third party.

'Making a new third party would be a mistake,' Nekhaila told Score on Tuesday. 'The Libertarian Party is the most set-up party to be the dissident subversive party.'"

No, no, no, Elon, don't join the Libertarians, join the Really, Really, Super-Duper American Party. Just delegate your concept to me and give me a billion in seed money.

I GUARANTEE YOU, Trump will not win the presidency in 2028.

<shhhh>

Don't tell Elon about the 22nd Amendment.
