Trump's Open Warfare on Libertarianism

I want you to think about the most prominent Libertarians over the past decade:

• Libertarian-leaning Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National intelligence, resigned from the Trump Administration yesterday. The media is emphatic that she was pushed out.

• Libertarian-leaning Thomas Massie, now former Congressperson from Kentucky, was voted out of the Congress after a mountain of dark money appeared at Donald Trump's behest to aid Massie's Republican challenger.

• Libertarian-leaning Justin Amash was technically the first Libertarian in either house of Congress when he switched parties from Republican to Libertarian in 2019. Currently, Amash is laying low in the private sector, despite switching back to the Republican Party in 2024.

• Libertarian-leaning Rand Paul, after multiple clashes with Donald Trump, is suspiciously quiet. Rand's major claim to fame from a Libertarian perspective? Being Ron Paul's Son.

• Libertarian Gary Johnson had the best showing of any Libertarian presidential candidate (including Ron Paul) in the nation's history. After capturing nearly 5 million votes in the 2016 election, he retired from politics at age 63. He briefly returned a year later to run for Senate in New Mexico in 2018, then retired for good. When asked in 2024 who he was voting for in the presidential election, he replied "abolishing the 2 party system."

• Libertarian-leaning Bill Weld was also part of the Libertarian's most successful ticket in 2016. He tried to run in the Republican Primaries in 2020 against Donald Trump, but then Trump changed the primary rules so I couldn't vote for him: Bill Weld: Screwed in Unnatural Ways.

• Libertarian Jo Jorgensen - Still listed as a Lecturer at Clemson University

• Libertarian Spike Cohen - Still listed as the driving force at the You Are the Power website. I believe the 2020 Libertarian Presidential/Vice Presidential candidates were bullied out of politics by Trump Supporters. Neither have, on the record, confirmed my assertation. Both Jorgensen and Cohen are active on social media on behalf of Libertarian causes.

• Libertarian John McAfee - Ran for President in both the 2016 and 2020 primary election cycles for the Libertarians. Don't forgot, McAfee was arrested for tax evasion during the first Trump Administration.

McAfee killed himself while incarcerated a year later, despite this quote:

"Getting subtle messages from U.S. officials saying, in effect: 'We're coming for you McAfee! We're going to kill yourself.' I got a tattoo today just in case. If I suicide myself, I didn't. I was whackd. Check my right arm." - November 30, 2019

John McAfee was the last presidential candidate to kill himself in prison.....

The year of that quote was in the same time frame as the "suicide" of another politically connected figure during Trump's first administration.

• Libertarian-leaning Robert Kennedy Jr. - RFK Jr. was having serious discussions with the Libertarians to become their nominee in 2024 when Donald Trump promised RFK Jr. a position in his cabinet if he DIDN'T run Libertarian. After Trump was elected, RFK Jr. was made the Secretary of Health and Human Services. Listen, RFK Jr. is certifiably insane, A WORM ATE PART OF HIS BRAIN. That's not me being a jerk, he admitted it in a 2024 interview. Almost every single member of the prestigious Kennedy Clan called for him to resign in 2025. I am convinced that RFK Jr only keeps his job based off of Trump's philosophy of "owning the libs."
