I should steal what's going at The SVR General Channel in Russia and make it into a movie.
Nah, no one would believe it.
Editor's Note: First, the Disclaimer-
I know that citing the SVR General is like citing the hacker group Anonymous.
I know that things journalistically are much different in Russia.
I believe that money goes through the channel in a....let's say "non-traditional" fashion.
But I still go there every day. (And so do almost 500,000 subscribers.)
Because I don't know if the SVR General is real or a mean version of The Onion, I am still apprehensive about talking about them, but their article yesterday was so outlandish, I have to talk about it in case even 10% of it is true. I am addicted to their narrative. Again, all of these things were referenced yesterday.
Putin is Dead. Last October, the SVR General said Putin was dead. Because so many people believed it in Russia, the Kremlin itself had to put out the extraordinary statement that "Putin is Alive."
Putin has a Body Double. Now this one I believe. Not because Putin is dead, but because he's disinterested in actually running his country. I think Putin sends the double out to do things that he doesn't want to do.
Nikolai Patrushev is the Leader of Russia. I wouldn't be surprised if Putin delegated up to 75% of his responsibilities to Patrushev, but that doesn't make him the leader, that just makes him a lackey.
Yevgeny Prigozhin is Alive. Again, according to the SVR General, Prigozhin didn't die in a plane crash because he was playing with hand grenades, (not a joke,) the former leader of the Wagner Group is hiding out in Venezuela. Now this is where things get really interesting. Supposedly Prigozhin is tracked by Russia by using a beacon, but the beacon hasn't been activated since last weekend.
Russia is about to Collapse. If a living Prigozhin showed up in Moscow to confront Putin's body double, AND if it was revealed that Putin truly was dead, citizens would be so outraged that Russia would collapse faster than the Soviet Union. That's a lot of ifs.
Because Vladimir Putin is so reclusive, many in Russia consider at least some of the narrative as possible.
Russia is like an R-rated episode Arrested Development.
