Where are the Internet's Detours?

I had the simple thought in my head: Is Jim Rome still on the radio?
I used to enjoy his radio show, but didn't recall seeing Rome on any networks recently.
I went to Wikipedia, and, lo and behold, he is still on the radio. Still on the radio and still owns race horses. Good for him.
As I scrolled to the bottom of the article, it said that Jim Rome was in the Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
I didn't even know Jim Rome was Jewish. Then I made a joke to myself: The SCJSHOF? How many members are in that group? Is it a closet in Dodger Stadium with pictures of Jim Rome and Sandy Koufax next to the mops and brooms?
Editor's Note: I'm so clever.
So I clicked on the link on Wikipedia and got this message:
Blocked? How am I blocked?

What? Listen, all I did was click on a Hall of Fame link from Wikipedia. What are we doing here?
I started again at google and simply searched: Southern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
First Link: SCJSHOF on Facebook
Editor's Note II: Hey, there's picture of Sandy Koufax.
Second Link: SCJSHOF Homepage
Editor's Note III: There's a video of Sandy Koufax pitching.
Third Link: SCJSHOF Twitter (X)
I even found 19 new inductees for the SCJSHOF for 2024...all people I had never heard of.
I scrolled through a couple hundred names and recognized about 6. Again, I do not have a vested interest in the SCJSHOF, but it made me wonder about other, more invisible, mechanisms that guide traffic through the internet.
