Let's take a short Bible Quiz, shall we?
Who said: 38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’[a] 39 But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. 40 And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well"?
Well, obviously Jesus did. I am a Christian and was raised in America. In America, whether you like it or not, modern law is based on vague Christian Foundations. The verse itself is Matthew 5:38-40. What's significant about that specific verse? It was written by Matthew (maybe) in the year 80 A.D. and Matthew's writings are one of the 4 gospels, the very core of Christianity.
Now who said this: 21 Show no pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot?
That's Deuteronomy 19:21. Who wrote Deuteronomy? Moses (maybe). When? That's a more complicated question.
As a Christian, I was taught that if there were contradictory messages in the Bible, the words of Jesus in the New Testament overrode the words of the Old Testament.
What does that have to do with the world right now?
Everything.
Bibi Netanyahu is Jewish. His religious foundations are the words of Moses and the scriptures of the Torah. The Old Testament in the Bible and the Torah share many messages, but both books are heavy handed compared to the New Testament in the Bible.
On February 8, 2025, Hamas released hostages Ohad Ben Ami, Eli Sharabi and Or Levy. All three men were tortured, starved, and had injuries that were left untreated.

After that hostage release, I believe that Netanyahu was rattled by what he saw and gave the order to restrict access to food in Gaza. His rationale? The words of Moses.
Al Jazeera, today, is reporting that:
When Eliya Cohen, Omer Shem Tov, Omer Wenkert, Tal Shoham, Avera Mengistu, and Hisham al-Sayed were released by Hamas on February 22, 2025, five of the six also reported being starved.
If Netanyahu implemented limited access to food after a hostage release in February of 2025, you understand the starvation situation which Al Jazeera is reporting on the ground in Gaza at this moment.
You counter that Netanyahu is doing the same thing to the West Bank that Joseph Stalin did to Ukraine in the Holodomor? Netanyahu will justify his actions by the emancipated Jewish faces above.
Netanyahu's message to Hamas is clearly: 'No matter how low you sink, we will sink lower.' When Netanyahu meets Yahweh, he will justify every action as reactionary and unflinching. Netanyahu will cite the words of Moses himself.
The leader of Israel is not beholden to the leaders of Russia, China, or Iran. Netanyahu placates America to ensure his supply of weapons, but does not align himself philosophically to any American Politician.
Again, and we have to go over this often, Hamas does not recognize the existence of Israel as a State. Hamas does not want to live in conjuncture with a Jewish State, it wants to replace the Jewish State. Netanyahu believes every decision he makes is to preserve Israel as Moses did.
Just yesterday, dissident Israelis decried: 'Revenge is Not a Policy'
Ah, ah, ah, the dissident in question did not read his Torah.
