New Lows at Cleveland.com

Updated: 23 hours ago
We try to avoid cleveland.com here at Beacon of Speech, but yesterday there was a possible assassination attempt against Ohio Gubernatorial Candidate Amy Acton and we wanted to see the details.
(Then we changed our minds and read the Columbus Dispatch version of the story instead.)
But before we left the website, a story caught our eye: ‘China’s Nostradamus Makes Chilling New Predictions about Trump, Coming American Apocalypse.
Wow, that sounds bad, really bad. One paragraph into the story: "Jiang Xueqin---"
Wait, wait, wait, my friend Cliff, who is a hardcore liberal, just posted some of Jiang Xuequin's content on his Facebook page yesterday. Jiang Xuequin is a KOOK. A kook in a suit.
What are Jiang Xuequin predictions in a nutshell, according to Tom Wrobleski at cleveland.com?
Trump will secure 3rd term in 2028
US will become 'Balkanized' through Civil War
America will turn into a Christian AI Theocracy
Trump will put boots on the ground in Iran
Trump will bring back the Draft......
Editor's Note: We covered this last month: Here We Go With The Fake Draft Claims Again
Then Wrobleski cites....wait for it... the Daily Mail UK as his sourcing.
Where in the hell does Jiang Xuequin teach? According to AI: Moonshot Academy, a high school in Beijing---
A CHINESE HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER?
Listen, I'm not a Chinese Nostradamus,
I'm a-
I'm a-
Midwestern Baba Vanga
Here's what's going to happen in 2 months: The Republicans are going to get slaughtered by the Dems in the Midterms and lose the House AND the Senate. Donald Trump will be reduced to an impotent leader and his policies will be neutered. Trump will become almost a sympathetic figure as he rants and raves throughout the nights as the Supreme Court and Congress kneecaps everything he proposes. There is a greater chance of Donald Trump simply quitting the presidency than fighting to change the Constitution for a third term.
How long has Wrobleski worked at cleveland.com? Wait, he doesn't even work in Cleveland? He's a columnist at Staten Island Advance Local?
Let me take a deep breath.
So cleveland.com published a story about a high school teacher in China...
With a popular YouTube page....
Cited by the Daily Mail (UK)...
Written about by an opinion writer at their sister company in New York...
And then picked up by the all-knowing editor of cleveland.com, Chris Quinn?
At this point, Beacon of Speech is just as credible as cleveland.com.
Editor's Note 2: That's bad
Real bad.
I live on a cul-de-sac in a lower-middle class neighborhood in Northeast Ohio. When my family moved into our house 25 years ago, we were the dregs of the neighborhood.
We got the cops called on us for not shoveling our sidewalk.
We got the cops called on us when our ducks left the property.
We got the cops called on us for leaving the soccer goal in the front yard overnight.
We got the cops called on us for purposely growing milkweed (for the butterflies.)
We got the cops called on us when we let our dog out on cold days in the winter.
Editor's Note 3: Dog warden said "this is the least abused dog I have ever seen. It's in better shape than my dog. Your neighbors just hate you."
Every retired boomer in my neighborhood spent 25-30 hours a week on lawn care. I spent 2 hours a week on my lawn. Cut the front grass Saturday, cut the back grass Sunday, trimmed weeds over knee high. (Except that milkweed.)
Now, 25 years later? I spend about 3 hours a week on my lawn and my wife puts flowers in the beds in the Spring. The boomer neighbors? All dead or homebound. My yard is now just another yard in the neighborhood. Alcoholics on the right side of me? It took 1 year for them to take Dead Boomer Dave's perfect lawn and turn it into an overgrown, neglected lot. I'm lucky if they cut the lawn once a month.
Do I care? I think it's funny. You say that drives down my property value? I don't need higher taxes.
What's the point of my analogy? My property is about as well kept as ever, the neighborhood changed.
With that in mind, Beacon of Speech didn't get any better over the past decade, we're still mostly the same.
The rest of journalism turned to shit.
When I went back to verify my sourcing, cleveland.com dropped their story behind a pay wall.
Literally 1 Hour AFTER I poste my article:
Daily Mail: Blind 'psychic' Baba Vanga's prophecy warns humanity is on the brink of a terrifying change
The change? A virus will turn some humans into "Superhumans" in 2027.
I cannot stress the enough, I am a lowly blogger.
But cleveland.com keeps getting negative run a MAJOR PUBLICATIONS:
Futurism: Journalist Accuses Ohio’s Main Newspaper of Slapping Her Name on an AI “Express Desk” Article Without Her Knowledge, While She Was on Honeymoon
"Does Cleveland.com think they just own my name now?"
