I was making a Taco Bell Breakfast run when, suddenly, the car in front of me slammed on its brakes to make a right turn into a church. Of course I honked and cursed at the vehicle as it pulled up the church driveway, but what caught my eye was the small placard at the edge of the road: Your Life May Be the Only Bible Someone Reads.

What gibberish, I thought, that guy in front of me almost met Jesus. But then the quote started to sink in...

I used to work with a guy named Neil. Nicest guy in the whole world, but he was a bit vanilla.

I never heard him say the word JESUS once in his entire life.

But I also never heard him spread gossip.

Or use foul language.

Or engage in any ruthless business behaviors.

.

His wife was also very nice and soft spoken.

She chose to stay at home and raise the kids.

She homeschooled those kids and the family was a staple at the neighborhood church.

Socially, Neil didn't partake in any illicit drugs.

Or commit adultery, or gamble.

I can't remember a single thing Neil ever did that even approached a sin.

He literally lived God's Truth without saying he was living God's Truth. He never brought attention to himself.

Me, on the other hand?

This blog might be problematic.

I would have keyed that car in the church parking lot, but I didn't want a cold breakfast burrito.
