Sanders, Reese, and Bronny James? I don't hate any of them....
Well, let me clarify.
Shedeur Sanders: I'm a Cleveland Browns fan, I definitely don't hate Sanders, I'm rooting for him, but let me start from the beginning. I thought, pre-draft, that Sanders was overrated. I believed he was a second round talent. If the Browns would have taken Sanders in the 2nd round, I would have been alright with that. If the Browns passed on Sanders and only taken the kid from Oregon in the 3rd round, I would have been fine with that. To take BOTH Sanders and Dillon Gabriel was idiotic, but Sanders didn't pick himself, I hate Browns GM Andrew Berry for being a mental patient and drafting two quarterbacks in the same draft.
Angel Reese: I don't hate anyone from the WNBA. I am annoyed that I know some of the players' names, but don't hate any of the ladies. If you hate anyone in the WNBA, you got hooked by racial politics.
But again, let me clarify. One of my favorite sports leagues is the MASL. If I asked you, the reader, to name one player in the MASL, you couldn't. Indoor soccer just isn't on your radar, just like the WNBA shouldn't be on my radar.
Bronny James: I have no problem with Bronny either, my problem is with his Father. LeBron James, as a social justice warrior, railed against White Privilege. If LeBron was White and convinced his GM to draft his average son, many would have accused James of White Privilege by making sure his son got a well-paying job in his company. (But James obviously isn't White).
But I do irrationally hate 3 athletes:
Jake Paul: Young Mike Tyson would have killed Jake Paul. I am not using hyperbole. KILLED HIM. Even old Mike Tyson had the capability to seriously maim Paul. Jake Paul paid Mike Tyson $20 million NOT to hit him. You will never convince me otherwise.
Zack Steffen: Zack Steffen's ceiling is as a very good USL goalkeeper. He shouldn't be anywhere near the USMNT. This year he has 4 yellow cards in 16 games with the Colorado Rapids. How the hell does that even happen?
Chase Herbstreit: You should NEVER root against college kids, but I hope Herbstreit sits on Michigan's bench for 4 years: OSU Alum Kirk Herbstreit's son Chase could have chosen "132 FCS or 128 FBS schools. The only school (he) couldn't choose is Michigan. It's not a hard concept. Choosing one of the 260 other schools SHOULDN'T have been a problem.
Now you are saying that the Ohio State-Michigan game is nothing but a stupid rivalry and Herbstreit's Kid should be able to go to any college that he wants? I would have listened to that argument IF Michigan could have offered a better deal for the Herbstreit Student than any other college in America. You don't begrudge a student a premium opportunity for his future.
But that's not what Michigan is offering. Michigan signed the # 1 High School recruit in the entire nation, Bryce Underwood, to come play quarterback for the Wolverines. If Chase Herbstreit, the 2,413th best recruit in the nation, the 148th best quarterback, wanted a chance to play within the next 3 years, Michigan was literally the WORST school he could have signed with."
If Chase went to a college like Middle Tennessee State or San Jose State, he could have, conceivably, started next year. You don't have to start at Michigan or Ohio State to be an NFL quarterback. The NFL will find you if you light it up at any Division I school. Instead Chase was stupid and got used as a pawn to embarrass Ohio State.
I hope he gets splinters in his butt from riding the bench. Young Herbstreit should have studied the story of Diego Pavia, that kid just wanted to play.
